There was a time when my menstrual cycles stretched out to 52 days.

The lethargy feels endless.

For so long, I thought this was just something I had to “deal with” as a woman. I continued trying to train hard, push through, stay disciplined, and ignore what my body was clearly trying to communicate.
But eventually I realised something important:
The female body is always communicating with us.
Long cycles are not random.
They can often reflect stress load, nervous system overwhelm, inflammation, under recovery, and hormonal dysregulation.
For many women, especially those struggling with endometriosis, burnout, or chronic stress, the body can become stuck in survival mode.
And when the body feels stressed, ovulation can become delayed - leading to longer cycles and worsening symptoms.
This can create a ripple effect of:
